I bought a new air filter and power washed my engine and went from 230 miles a tank to 250. But I drive it after the fuel light comes on and usually fill up after it's been on for 20 miles.

Just change to Mobil 1, I done that years ago on my 2001 XJ. Mileage increase was about 1 1/2 mpg. This brings up another question. I pull a 4000 # travel trailer and get 10 mpg. Just wondering if that is good or bad. I have installed 4:10 gears and this average was after the switch. ?????

I just drove 5000 hwy miles averaging 21mpg with Thule carrier & Yakima racks on top. At least 500 was in 4wd. I previously replaced ALL sensors & ejectors to 4 port Bosch over the past 12 months.. All Amsoil fluids, but doubt that made any difference. Made the same trip in 2013 & got 17, without the carrier on top. Hwy mileage has been averaging 23, plus or minus without the racks, since the changes. I have a 2000 Cherokee Classic 4.0 liter engine with auto trans. No lift or oversized tires.

Pretty pleased with the results.

I get about 120 miles on a full tank. 2001 XJ straight 6 auto. 2 inch budget lift on brand new 31 BFGs. It's horrible. It's got 170k on original injectors and I'm assuming the differential fluids have never been changed since factory . Tank fills up with $25-30 (with the gas light on) on the cheapest gas available. MPG wasn't as bad until I put on the 31s. Will definitely do an injector swap and change all fluids.

I'm perfectly satisfied with buying whatever amount of fuel my rides consume, when they get below 1/2 tank, I top them off.

"Fuel economy" was a lame brain idea cooked up by a bunch of nanny pants politicians in the 1970s.

A person back in 1969 looking at a Chevelle couldn't care less how far it could travel on a gallon of gas, they were concerned what it would turn in the 1/4.

Incorrect. They are known as white collar criminals.

A sadder day still if real Americans don't get out and vote it could be our last election as a Christen country with a Constitution still in effect where the government doesn't own everything like Cuba and Russia.

Good lord man, that's awful. Do you have a CEL? 170k mile injectors shouldn't make it that bad. Sounds like another contributing factor is to blame.

I've been constantly been getting a p0302 code on and off for the past year. Been to 3 different shops but they can't figure out what's the issue. I made a thread about it for some help but wasn't much help. Might take it to the dealership one day.
