Default Gas Mileage?

With gas prices right around 4 dollars a gallon im a little weary about installing the 3" lift and the 31" mtz's i purchased last week on my 98. i dont know how much the gas mileage will be effected, any estimates or speakers from experience care to share?

Lift and tires will drop your mpg's. I went from 17/18 city, 20/21 hwy stock to 14-15/city, 18-19 hwy after putting on 3.5" and 31" A/T's. Best way to keep the mpg's higher is to lighten your right foot. Other things help as well like better flowing (clean) injectors, new O2 sensors, better air filter. All of these give marginal increases, but over time it adds up. But, like I said, the best thing to do is lighten your right foot. Keep it around 2000 rpm's on the highway and during acceleration and you'll see decent numbers for 3" and 31's.

I've ran 31's and 32's with a 3.5" lift and get around 15-17 mpg.
