Ya a clean white xj always looks good., they also look good when they've got a few black accents like wheels and tires, Bumpers, rock sliders, ect. I think you get what im saying. White and Silver are my two favorite colors on a xj. The factory silver ones are hard to come by at least hear in my area they are. Out of all the cherokee's I looked at I only found 3 silver ones but they were way out of my price range and were the 2000-2001 models. Which I didn't care to much for. But im definitely liking this White one. Its just to clean and the price is to good to pass up on. Hopefully I will have it tomorrow morning when I go look at it.

Where are you located at? I've been thinking about swapping my 231 for a 242, so if you want to change it out we might be able to work something out...

I didn't realize it when I got it on my 2001, because I'm a nube, but it's pretty sweet to pull into full-time 4wd when driving on a snowy day.

Hey, I haven't gotten it yet. Im headed out this morning to go look at it. If it is in good shape then i'll buy it. Pictures sometimes can be deceiving. But if I do get it,...I do plan on keeping the 242 sorry.

Well I got back from going to look at the cherokee. And unfortunately it needed more work than I was willing to put in it.

It needed a new valve cover gasket, new o rings for the oil filter adapter, new oil pan gasket, and im pretty sure the rear main seal was shot also. All in all leaking oil pretty much from every possible place.

It had rust at the bottom of the rear quarters, rust all along the bottom of each door, some rust in the engine bay as well.

It had been hit hard in the front. The front passenger side uni-body frame rail where the front bumper bracket should be was crushed all the way back to where the first bolt goes into the sway bar. Evidently somebody jerry riged a plate on there to bolt the bumper back on to make it appear it was fine.

Also heat and a/c would only come out of the defrost. It would not blow air from the vents.

Also had 2 small dents in the front passenger fender.

They were originally asking $4,995 but I had talked them down to $3,000 cash on the phone just to get me up there to look at it. Other wise I told them if they didn't drop it to $3,000 it wasn't worth my time. After checking it out and telling the dealership all that was wrong with it, "and in my own opinion" wasn't even worth that. Told them sorry but that cherokee wasn't for me. The salesman got all mad and told me I was a fool and that they did me a favor of dropping the price to $3,000 and I would never find one that was in as good of shape as that one for that price. I just laughed and walked away.

Good decision! Shame it wasn't all it appeared to be, but well done for spotting it all. You should tell people where it is now
