if you have a hitch, you could weld a pole onto a piece an old drop hitch or something

Look at the for sale section, I know there's someone here selling a taillight mount for a CB antenna. You could always modify that to take a flag. At least, that's what I did.

Or if you have money to burn, buy an aftermarket bumper that has a mount built in (like Ares Fab - I ordered their rear bumper and I'm waiting on it being made right now)

Funny thing is , when I had a confederate flag there a cop waved me over at a construction site he told me I couldn't have a flag there.i asked him what law it violates and he couldn't tell me
He just said get going
I looked up Massachusetts law
Rear window can be blocked if you have two mirrors , I haven't been stopped since I put up old glory.

I was thinking of using some conduit and mounting it with some bolts through it to my tire carrier. I just don't know if the tube can handle high speeds with a big ole flag. My brother used a broom handle and it eventually snapped. I don't want that happening

That's actually a good idea. I don't think I've ever seen that done but it would probably work. Even with the pretty flimsy stock bumper

Make a bracket that ties in with your front license plate mount. Would need to nut/bolt it because the screws wouldn't last long.

A lot of places require the flag to be in front, at least up here. Check where you plan to go.

That's for the little orange flag like what you have to have in the dunes. I think the op was talking about a pole for a big american flag.

I used an old heavy wooden broom handle and drilled two holes into it and bolted it onto my tire carrier and used wing nuts for quick removal. The pole itself held up no problem at 120km/h (75mph), although the flag itself isn't rated for that and it started to fray on the end.. The flag is 3'x5' and cops never said a thing.
