The way I set it up, the flag picks up at about 30-35mph, but only a small amount is catching wind, so it won't put as much stress on the flag itself. When you get to highway speeds, it flies a lot straighter.

 

100 is a bit steep for most of us on here but what people dont think about is the guy has to pay for material, tools that wear out plus make money on top of that, thus the reason parts are so expensive from anyone.

 

I'd do this for my Canadian flag but I'd probably get shot in the states and everyone would think im crazy here in Canada... lol. Except canada day.

I build roof racks and rock sliders to pay the bills so i know how the game goes.
it is getting hard to compete with Chinese labor like smittybuilt, rc, ect.

 

I wanna put a patent in for that. Its the first good thing I've built for myself. Lol. I can't wait to get my welder!

 

Has anyone mounted some flags to the roof rack if yes then what size flag you using

 

This is how I did it. Help up for 5 hours of driving including highway.





The bottom is bolted to the bumper, top is aluminum with a hole drilled out for the pole to slide through and it was u bolted to the rack.

 

Why'd it only hold for 5 hours?
