Default First time Rock crawling

Hey guys so i finally finished my jeep last night and we're leaving for the Superlift Offroad Park in Hot Springs this afternoon. I've been a couple of times but never driven my own rig. Any pointers for me?

Yea I like to do a lot of research before I jump into something with both feet. I've played in the mud for years now just never climbed any rocks.

There are 3 rules you must know...
  1. Use common sense. (don't be an idiot, know your limits)
  2. Use jeep sense. (test you limits, but don't over do it!)
  3. Have fun! That's why you have a jeep in the first place!
then there is the "always be ready for anything JEEP motto" you figure out that as you go. eventually the back of your jeep will look like some of these. https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/wh...ur-jeep-59987/

know where your pumpkins are, and put your tire on the obstacle. Also know where other important pieces are like Lower Control arms (here are mine)

and sometimes skinny pedal is okay to lightly bump up an obstacle.

as you get used to your rig it will feel better and you will know its limits

Nice Jeep btw!

What's your setup? First off air her down to like 10psi, rocks are nothing like mud (Slooow & Looow), but don't be a bump wimp!

If you're by yourself, get a map, and start off on level 1 or 2 trails and work your way up. If at all possible ride with a group. I happen to know that a group of our club guys are going to Superlift this weekend. So if you see some folks with Midsouth Jeeps decals, ask if you can follow along. They're usually friendly, I promise. They will spot you if needed, so don't be afraid to ask. Superlift is our go-to park they know it well. Look for a bright pink JK, as well as a green ZJ, plus several other assorted Jeeps. Pretty sure they're all sporting MSJ decals either on the windshield or fenders.

Got a BIG group going the weekend of June 10th too, if you're interested. I'll be on that trip, but not the one this weekend.
