how bad is it? if your rolling around like one of the flintstones, id recomend buying a full floor pan and welding in the peices you need, other wise 16-18 gauge would probly be fine

drivers seat is sittin a little crooked but not completely garbage and redoing the floors will be a good excuse to get a plasma cutter

Depending on your needs for sound I would check the speakers and possibly replace them. When I bought mine I had mice living in the speakers so needless to say, they weren't sounding good. Walmart or Amazon is a pretty good place. Very general but I have heard a couple other had this issue. Good to do lol.

Depending If you already have them or not, you could check junkyards for stock skid plates and tow hook brackets. Recovery points are a must for off roading. Don't be that guy with nothing!

Upgrading your headlights to something like Sylvania xtravision is a pretty good start (pretty cheap at advance auto especially if you use trt30 promo code online 30% off online purchase, pick up in store), also harbor freight has some cheap but pretty good auxiliary lights. The 55w ones are about $15 a set, and even cheaper if you grab a 20% coupon. I have a couple sets and the work pretty well, also you won't cry if you break one. They also have 100w sets for I believe $30.

If you want louder exhaust you could go with a glass pack muffler or something like a flowmaster 40 or 44 at advance auto using the same discount as mentioned above. I have the thrush glass pack and while many people don't like it, I actually like the sound over my previously destroyed muffler and tailpipe. There is an exhaust thread under stickies that can give you an idea of what they will sound like. My thrush cost me I think $17 or thereabouts. Pretty cheap.

For a cheap and quality rear bumper I recommend nate's 4x4 rear bumper. $215 on Amazon, it comes with a hitch and though welded d-ring mounts. It's about the cheapest you can get without making it yourself. I have it and have pulled on it plenty of times with no issue and also towed an 18 foot car hauler with at a on it with absolutely no issue.

If you don't want to go the tow hook route for the front I would look at nate's 4x4 for a front bumper, or Logan's metal products for a front bumper. Logan's got some bad publicity in the past but they are in my area and I met the owner, they have add some changes and are on top of the projects they start more than they used to be. They make a very good product, and are very easy to contact now. Their basic recovery front bumper starts at $159 and to add a brush guard brings it up to $200-210, which is about as low as you can go. Some places to look into and research, both are great for the price.

If you are looking for more storage a roof rack is great, and curt makes a very nice rack, which when purchased on Amazon is very affordable, and you can even add the extension for a pretty affordable price. I have the curt rack plus extension and it looks very good on the cherokee. I believe I spent under $200 for the rack and extension, much better price than some other brands but not quite as heavy duty, it works well for storage though. It depends on your storage needs.

You can do a doorless mod for very cheap if that is something you are in to. If you search the forum there are plenty of write ups on it and seems pretty easy, personally I haven't done it yet due to time, but will probably do it this summer. It doesn't cost much if anything at all and it could be pretty fun.

As said by others, you can do a mild lift for very little little money especially if you do spacers and shackles or add a leaf kits with spacers. Add a leaf isn't the best route to go, but if that is all that is in your budget, it is better than no lift if that's what you are going for. Also a bastard pack can be don't with some junkyard cherokee leafs of s-10 leafs and spacers at a very low cost. I have a 2" lift done with HD moog coils and HD leafs that can be found on Amazon or from a local auto parts shop. It's stiff but works well for me. It's depends on what you want for your jeep.

Be sure to check out the " what junkyard parts will fit a cherokee" thread, it will give you some ideas for cheap upgrades.

If you have any questions feel free to ask, we are all willing to help with anything you might want to know.

Hey 2 DOORS. You asked about diff armor. I started rock crawling without a lift and 30 inch tires, so a front heavy duty diff cover was a must.
My previous post tried to answer your question, here's another suggestion.

My J8 inspired intake cost about 20 to 30 dollars, fun project just took time.

There's a lot of cheap bumpers out there but until you go that route you could remove the bumper caps. I did that on mine before I started seriously building it and I thought it looked pretty good. A lot of guys paint there stock rims black too. And there's always some cheap cb radios on craigslist going for like 15$. I would also swap out that stock head unit if you haven't already for something that can play your music through it.
