Finally Got one!!
Well....after quite a bit of looking.... I bought a 96 Cherokee 2 door on Monday. Not perfect, but not too bad. 6 cyl, auto, runs great, looks pretty good...repainted at some point, rockers repaired, 1 small hole on each side of the floor, and it needs some new exhaust clamps and probably an alignment. Paid $2000.....how'd I do???
Gonna take some time to get used to it...new smells, noises, etc. But so far......I'm lovin' it!!!
Oh....and it only has 82,000 miles.

No real big plans....yet. But I am looking for a better set of wheels/tires. just looking for some 235/75's with a more aggressive tread for now to get me through the winter, then in the spring I'll start thinking bigger.

235/75s should be easy enough to find at a decent price. What were you thinking for rims, though?

I'm not that concerned over what type of rims... more concerned about the tires being in good shape. Any style of stock rims would be ok with me.

Dude - the mileage on that is unreal!! I just picked up my 2005 GC Limited 5.7 with 95k on her. At $13,500. Yeah, it has all the bells and whistles but it's still a Jeep!!!
That red paint still looks new - looks like the previous owner had some proper love!
Good deal man!

Looks OK. There are a few for sale here in the UK, more so the Grand Cherokee ZJ. However, a really good XJ is rare and much more sought after. I gave £1,300 for mine about 6 months ago. I have never seen a 2 door version in the UK.That does not mean there are none.
