If you NEED 4 doors, then yeah it would be a pain. If you don't need them, it's a pain to have so much unused space. There is more room up front in the 2 doors as well. I always felt cramped in my 4 door.
I've had 10 vehicles, and the only 4 door one I had was the XJ... sold it after just a couple months for the 2 door.

There are fewer 2-doors than 4-doors, no doubt, but calling them "rare" is a misuse of words. A '66 Shelby Cobra, '70 Hemi Cuda, '69 Z28, '69 Yanko sYc Camaro, '69 Plymouth Superbird, etc., are RARE cars. A 2-door Cherokee is not "rare" and worth more UNLESS you find a buyer who wants a 2 -door specifically and find a really clean one and is will to pay a couple hundred more for it.
And Im with the group who doesnt understand 2-doors. Personally Id rather have a 4-door and fold down the rear seat all the time (used to do that with my 4-door) and use the back door to get into the rear. MUCH easier than messing with a 2-door. Id actually be willing to pay less for a 2-door.

Don't NEED 4 doors ... but it can't be fun for the occasional passenger, or trying to maneuver large items in the rear. My Durango is much larger than the XJ & even with 4 doors it's a pain transporting & moving around things like tires, a bumper & other large items. Plus you get more windows that open
.All my power doors & windows still work after 19 years so convenience is definitely a factor.
Anyway, sorry for hi-jacking this thread.

There aren't many 2-doors in East Tennessee that I've seen - even the 4-doors are getting a little thin if you want a premo one. Plenty of junkers...
