I just recently purchased a 99 Jeep Cherokee and the exhaust doesn't sound to great, so I was wondering what exhaust sounds best

 

I had a cat back dynomax exhaust. sounded good. not too loud. pretty cheap. got a little power and throttle response out of it

Take it to an exhaust shop, put a nice magna flow on it, and you can add a Glass pack to get rid of the high pitch raspiness.

 

I'm a Magnaflow fan, but Flowmaster 40's sound sweet on 4.0's.

My vote goes for the Flowmaster Super 44. Coupled with a 2.5" exhaust and high flow cat, I love the deep aggressive tone.

 

That's what I installed just a few weeks ago, with the Super Turbo style muffler. Looks great and I LOVE the sound. Here's a quick video of the very first run. I'm going to shoot another one in about a month after the muffler is really broken in.
