What type of exhaust kit should I do for my 4 banger the old one is rusted and nasty

Thinking glass pack

I put a 21" Thrush glass pack on my 4.0, I like the sound and it's not overly loud. I don't know what it will sound like on a 4 cylinder though.

I had a glasspack on my '84 2.5L 4 banger. It was amusing I guess.. Sounded like a riced out Civic. More like angry bees. If you want to fart your way around town, then go for it. They are cheap and can be replaced with a real muffler when you get tired of the buzzing.

Stock 2.5L w/Magnaflow muffler (60 bucks at PepBoys)

If you want cheap, just go get a stock replacement.

I am very happy with my Banks Monster 2.5-inch catback exhaust.

Thrush welded (about 30 bucks) and some 2.25" piping (about 10 bucks) so for around 50 or less, you can easily make you one.
