Default engine bay fire

I am looking to buy a 2 door Jeep Cherokee I found 1 for 700 dollars its a two door the only problem is the engine bay caught fire and it does not run the motor itself is not completely trashed so I was wondering if it was worth buying or if I should pass on it.

I would go no more than 500 depending on how clean the rest of the Jeep is.

I paid 200 for my 95 with a blown rear axle. I wouldn't pay near 700 for it

If it's a newer year and in good shape everywhere else, maybe.

Otherwise, you can get something that runs/drives for just a few hundred more. Fires can cause all sorts of issues that aren't going to be the easiest to track down...
