1 year ago my 4 local LKQ pick-a-parts had 10+ XJs on any given day, now just 2.
The supply of cheap XJs is gone, and the parts are drying up.
Same thing when I was into late 60s - early 70s muscle carse,, they dried up over night in the late 80s

I get e-mail notifications from 2 of the junk yards I go to and in the last year I've only received 1 regarding an XJ. It was in late May for a '91 Laredo - totally stock but badly rusted underneath. I went a week later and got quite a few good items including an overhead console that I had been looking for. I went back yesterday and it had been pretty well picked clean.
I've had better luck dealing with individuals on Kijiji. Many of them are simply selling off what they have but some of them are owners just getting rid of some of their "stuff". It's great if you can establish a network of likeminded XJ guys who are willing to help each other find what they need. It's worked both ways for me (buying and selling) both for XJ/MJ's and TJ/LJ's.

Is Kijiji something like Craigslist??
While looking for used parts,, I am somewhat shock how the Cherokee Forum Classifieds have all but died off in the last 2 years.

Less of a certain vehicle in junkyards means nothing to me.
The end is not even in sight. XJs are everywhere on the roads, everywhere for sale, parts are everywhere, aftermarket support is excellent, and people love them.
16 years ago when I got my C10 I heard nothing but "73 to 87s are getting hard to find! The junkyards are crushing all of them! Pretty soon there will be none left!"

Kijiji is very popular for almost anything you want to buy or sell. I subscribe to several Jeep related ads and get daily updates. Here is what is currently available for complete XJ's. You can also track down parts, wheels, tires, etc.
Jeep Cherokee Xj | Find Local Deals on New or Used Cars and Trucks in Ontario from Dealers & Private Sellers | Kijiji Classifieds
Ads for Jeep TJ's, XJ's, etc. are plentiful compared to XJ's. A lot of auto dealers also advertise what they have. it's a bit annoying though, for me anyway, as it just clogs things with "new stuff".
I currently have an XJ, MJ, TJ and LJ and all were bought through Kijiji ads.

there was a guy in the Tri-City Jeep Club that built an entire jeep TJ from parts he bought on Kijiji. his license plate reads Kijijeep
Kijiji even commemorated his jeep with a full article. just search "Kijijeep" and you should find it.
