Default electrical BS!!!

ok so, i bought an 89 cherokee a few months ago, runs great but...
whoever owned it b4 me installed a CB radio and tachometer, no cd player. the cb had power but no sounds or frequency, it was an old unit so i figure its just the CB so i disconnected it. The tach also had power, lit up but didnt function. So that too i disconnected. Other electrical craziness... My dash lights were lit untill i turned my headlights on!! That was b4, this is current... Ive installed 2 CD players (not at same time) one was stolen. Anyways, piece of cake, CD player works. The other night i changed out a few blown fuses. Fixed a few problems, caused a few problems... My dash lights now work with my headlights on, i can now see how fast im going at night, yay!!! But... my blinkers no longer work, and i need a jump to start my jeep evrytime. Starts with a jump no problem and stays running, but when i turn it off and take the keys out, my CD player, heat and all other electrical stays on... So how or where could i have grounded something out to fix certain problems such as my dash lights, but cause my other new problems such as my blinkers and my electrical staying on after jeep is not running... Im no electrition and dont want to make things worse so i have no choice but to take it into a shop, Im affraid to see that bill!!! Any advise would be greatfull, thank you.... JEEP RULES!!!

The painful but correct way would be to find a wiring diagram and trace all of your circuits and rewire to factory specs, and/or install a whole new wiring harness for the same model year as your Jeep. Otherwise, get ready to shell out the buck for someone else to do the same thing.
