There is more oil just here in Texas than we will use the rest of our lives !
Now lets talk whats off shore just in the gulf of Mexico , wy , Pa etc. Id build a propane jeep before I would do electric.

Your point is ? Electricity comes from power plants fired by coal or Natural gas, steam,nuclear ? take your pick they all pollute in one form or another.

there are so many ways to get electricity without polluting you've got hydropower you got solar power wind power and plenty others

...all of which have to be manufactured. Every manufacturing process will have by-products of some sort. Solar cell manufacture has many nasty, nasty chemicals produced, like cyanide and arsenic. You can't get something for nothing....
