Easy, Cheap, and Simple Mods
I have been bored lately... as a result I want to do a few critiques to my rig but need some ideas. I want some cheap, easy modifications that make your Jeep personal, such as the grenade shifter **** mod. Thanks for the ideas!
- no headliner and coat the roof with undercoating so it's not bare metal.
- hood vents
- $7 sway bar disconnects
- LED interior lighting
- Ford Ranger netting for door pockets

- Paint lower quarters a different color than the body (usually done in black)

Remove the air restrictor in your air box for more hp, torque, MPG, smoother idle, better throttle response and a louder roar when you punch it. Individual results may vary.

was my post deleted....???? Oh well, redoing it.
I paid 10 bucks for this CJ 4x4 shifter ****.

interior LED lighting is definitely a very worthy upgrade and can be done on the cheap with LEDs from eBay. I went up a little higher and used SuperBrightLEDs though.

I also consider the 703 injectors to be a cheap & easy mod

I've done 3 cheap fix jobs on mine.
Turned a blue racquetball into a shift **** by drilling a 1/2" hole in it, filling it with 2 part epoxy and sliding a threaded collar into it so it screws onto the shifter. Nice round, relatively heavy, grippy and comfortable.
I made an extra clip out of a piece of sheet metal for my shift boot (21 year old boot) because the nubs were too worn down to hold it to the console.
Used another piece of the same sheet metal to mold into a clip that attaches inside the center console and replaces the broken piece that latched it closed. No drilling, the clip latches onto the spring for the release button.
