I feel how HP is measured has changed over the past 20 years. Take that exact same motor and put it in a time machine back to 1990 and NO WAY it has 500+ HP. And I don't mean crankshaft vs wheel HP either. It's pretty common to hear people throw around 1000+ HP which is complete BS 99% of the time.
Grand Cherokee SRT8, built 6.1, tranny, rear, transfercase, and 76mm pte turbo. Put down 777hp on pump @ 10#, 966hp w/Q16 at 20#. That was on a smaller turbo grind. Looking to swap it out soon. A guy with same build, different cam, put down 1050. Same dyno, same tuner.
@ 5000lbs of a pig that it is, best pass so far was a 10.01@141, 1.51 60ft. Still working on the tune. I just want to break into those 9sssss....lol.
Drive it just about everyday.

Little was popping the seem welds of the body and had to pull it out after the first time it was put in tk reinforce everything lol.
