I had Harland Sharp make me 2 sets of 1.7 roller rockers. They don't make then except for special order. Just have to watch as oversize pushrods can hit the edge of the hole in the head.

The 85mm came from Magnum Powers. It would need a custom manifold under it bo be built.

You will need a different elbow for the bigger TB. I don't remember if it is 3" or 3 1/4". I get all my silicone hoses from www.siliconeintakes.com

For the 70mm you will need to remove the SC and unbolt the SC intake manifold off the SC and get a dremel tool and grind on it. You will need to make the opening bigger, 70mm as well as open up the throat area under the TB. Just be conscious of the thickness and not to break thru. The throat is like only 2 fingers can pass and after opening it, 3 fingers can pass.

If you order a 70mm from F+B you can have them cut the top shorter. This will help the elbow and hood clearance.

3" ? Is there really an extra quarter inch of metal all the way around? It didn't look like it in the picture. I converted 70mm to inches and got 2.756" ~

1/8" wall thickness all the way around is 3" diameter.
I will look for pics later.

If you can get the 70mm TB from F+B, have them cut off that upper ring and cut the top shorter. With that upper ring cut off, you only need about 1/2" for the hose to clamp to. This will give you the clearance for the hood.

If not, a local machine shop could do it and cut it shorter.

I have an angle grinder and a set of *****. Pics to come later.

EDIT #1: Looks like i'm at about 13.4 MPG at the moment with no boost. I built the engine for maximum quench without detonation with up to 6 PSI planned on the intake. When I get the new TB on there and actually have boost, and therefore 12.5~ continuous AFR, will I see better or worser MPG'age? I'm hoping the increase in power will be greater than the little added fuel necessary for the boost. That was my plan from the beginning (hence the reason I went with the highest DCR cam with reliability)

Nice Rig.
Engine shot!

13.4mpg, is that good or bad? Is that what you expected?
What main 6 injectors do you have again?

The primary are ford 24lb injectors. I guess it's good considering that's actually a tad better than what it was before as a base stroker. I think I was getting 11-12'ish previously.

4.10 gears with 34.5" tires.

That mileage is mixed highway and city.

I read an article about a Cherokee that was getting 14 MPG average that went up to 17 after installing the avenger. I am hopeful that I can make even a small increase. Once the water/meth injection comes into play to cool the IAT to boot that should increase the boom-boom on top of the extra pow from the boost.

I decided to relocate the brake booster to where it belongs and put the recirculation valve port at the TB where the brake booster was. I can hit 3 PSI when I floor it now and it tapers down to 1.5 PSI until it shifts up to the next gear. Part throttle is better too even though there is no boost indicated on the H20 injection.

I hooked up the vacuum gauge to have a peak and it sits at 15 inHG instead of 25 as it was before where I had it plugged in according to the Sprintex instructions (when I hold the throttle down moderately) .

I don't know when the 505 TB will be here. There were no shipment details given.

Where did you have the brake hose before? There is a 'bung' for a fitting on the side of the SC intake manifold for it?
The brake booster can NOT see boost, boost will ruin it eventially.
505 can be frustration at times. Email them often.

It was connected to one of the 3 ports at the SC intake under the throttle body. Now it's where it should be (before the rotors on the SC at the bottom underneath the brake booster).

That's good to know. I'll put them on my contacts list in my phone and call them like I did the speed shop (daily)

I just did the math on what my actual mileage per gallon is after factoring the gears in tandem with the tire size and I actually averaged at 14.5 MPG. Before the conversion it was 12.6

So when I got 13.6 last time it was actually closer to 15.7 (I subtracted a percent from the overall total due to pessimisticism).

I developed a heavier foot after the increase in boost. I suspect the 70mm TB will drop my MPG more due to an even heavier foot.
