i really think the dumbest thing i did was put the 250+ dollar AEM "cold" air intake. sure it made a (very little) difference on the street but now i'm worried about the big cone filter in there soaking up water. long story short, i could have spent that $250 on way better thought out upgrades for my jeep

If you look in my album you can see what all I had to do. I work in a greenhouse and in the summer it can be close to 70 more then outside temp. I put all the interior inside one of them and closed the building vents... it got to around 120 or more and left it there for close to a week. Baked that stuff right out. I had around a foot of water inside of it when I got pulled out. But it allowed me to put new gears, lockers, seals, bearings, and other stuff into it. Just kinda wished that I hadn't done it the way that I had.

Loaned it to my mom and she relied on my 16 yo son to check the coolant.
Now it sits in the yard with a blown engine. Man that engine got HOT.

Some people say this was dumb. I say it was Jeep Innovation, I could not get the sway bar link bolts off, so I took it Wheeling first good airborne landing and the links snapped rite off. Crawled under there were it sat and put the new links on.. I love my Jeep

havent done anything really dumb... but i guess i could say the dumbest thing iv done is i was driving over some ice and i stopped and then my rear end broke through the ice, luckly it was only the rear end that was in the deepest part, interior got soaked, if i was about 3 feet back more the depth of the water droped to about 4-feet that was pretty scary
