I was riding in an area that I was unfamiliar with. the trail came down to the water and starting playing in the mud. next thing i know, i'm sitting in the water. lesson learned! its took alot to get it back in running order and will probaly never be back to normal! Note: its sat there for 24hrs in the water!
when i finally got it out and towed it home. about three days later i noticed this...

TJ flares..... do i have to say anymore
i went out wheelin at 2am by myself , was doin great till i got hung up on every thing under the jeep in clay, tried everything i could until i gave up and called my friend who said i had to learn my lesson, so i had to camp out(sleep on sand soaking wet) till he came out, and then got stuck on his way out, so i had to walk a mile with my come along to get him then, i was stuck soo bad he couldnt pull me out, so we had to call his dad, they linked up their rigs and pulled me out , when all was said and done i was in $400. maybe i should have noticed all the tracks arrould that hole.
edit: there were a few minnows swimming arround in my jeep
and i still owe somebody a case of beer

We were phesant hunting in the middle of no where during a huge snow storm, with below zero tempatures and no cell service.
I went to turn around on a gravel road, and the snow didnt look THAT deep. That was back when i was 16 and it was completely stock.
Walked to the nearest farmer, and he got his ram 3500 and didnt move it at all. So he went and got the tractor with snow chains on it.
But the REALLY stupid part was i didnt have ANY tow points, so i had to hook it on the rear leaf spring, and it held up fine

well one night me and a buddy were coming home from a bar when i decided to gun it and jump some rail road tracks on the way. well, i hit the hump for the tracks doing around 50-55mph. we both slammed into the roof of the xj and when the jeep came down i saw something bouncing behind us causing sparks along the road and eventually flying off the road. turns out it was my driveshaft. we got out, found the driveshaft, then i limped it home in 4wd and fixed the yoke where it broke and reinstalled the driveshaft.
Next day on the way to work im cruising at about 45mph and i hear a clunk....the passenger side of the jeep drop down to the ground and then i see my 33/12.5 tire rolling away from the jeep into traffic. i somehow manage to be able to drive and steer my jeep off the road into a parking lot while driving on the rotor. then hop out and chase my tire down, which thankfully didnt hit any car.
apparently jumping the tracks damaged all the studs on the unit bearing, and it also cracked the output cone on the transfer-case....so, easy to say....lesson learned.

Lol, these are some pretty good stories. Alright here's one of mine. I had a cb antenna on that was installed by the previous on top of the roof. We after a few weeks of driving the xj around muddy, I decided to run it though the local car wash. Haha totally wasn't thinking of that damn antenna until it was too late. The first over hand brush came down and I here ting! Snap! haha I knew immediately what it was. Then a second later I see it fall down on top of my hood....haha I smacked my forehead and all i said was crap...

Though, cant say ive done any dumb things to my XJ so far, "hence" so far.. I hadnt got to wheel it yet like serious ridin' like im used to. Though even if i do have a few michelob ultra in me i still ease around and watch everyone else flip or break stuff..
