to dual, or not to dual?
bmw inlines came with dual exhuast so just cause jeeps didn't come like that doesn't mean all inlines came as one log manifold.
all bmw I6 are true dual and are either y'd into a single (the m20b27) or ran duals all the way back (all other bmw I6)
exhaust size is dependant on how much exhuast gas you are moving through your engine. if you ahve a small amount going in then not alot is going to exit so no reason to make a large exhaust sytem.

i didnt think anyone said no inlines came with duals? i just think its pointless to switch an already single exhaust inline motor to a dual. its my opinion. im sure im not the only one either.
if youre doing it for looks, go hard man, but it wont exactly be cheap.

just use to the normal stuff i have read on other jeep sites where people keep pushing that its useless to put duals on an i6. figured this thread was going down that road again, sorry. it is mostly useless to do on a jeep i6 as we are in the business of lower rpm torque, not higher rpm horsepower.
i don't disagree with you about it not being needed on this motor
