You're wayyy overthinking it. Straight 6, Straight 4=single cylinder bank.

V6, V8, V10= two cylinder banks.

hey im gonna toss a cheap thrush turbo under mine next week and turn it out under the door on the passengers side with a nice rectangular tip and call it done. i dont need noise, and im hoping a thrush turbo will still be quiet. but as for someone putting duals on an xj i like the theory but like a couple ppl said, not for me, i wanna know when my axle bottoms/flexs out that theres nothing in the way of it doing so. lol

Give the kid a break, When I was his age I had to have duals on everything - still like'em. And not everyone has a big tool box or fab shop in there back yard...or even know how to properly use a cresent wrench. Labor cost money.

with duals on a single bank, you are losing back pressure the engine needs, thus losing hp.....duals on an xj=pointless.

You can buy prebent mandrel bends which are better than the crush bends at an exhaust shop anyway. I built My exhaust out of them

it sounds ok. imo not $350 worth but ok. And as to that "cold air" intake.....the small cone filter you put on there is pulling in some really hot air, it needs to have a heat shield or something.

It sounds pretty good for a stock motor.

like I posted earlier 350 = locker, new rims, decent set of used MT's.

In all the rigs I have ever owned.... the most I ever did was swap in a glass pack, and add a turn down after it. the power gains are minimal in a straight six. As for a warm air intake.. all they do is make you use more fuel, cause it makes you think you got more power.
