Default driveshaft help

I recently noticed a squeaking noise coming from my front driveshaft I removed the drive shaft and noticed the u joints were bad but could that be causing the squeaking? if its not the u joints is there any way I can fix the problem besides replacing the whole drive shaft or rebuilding it since I'm short on money

Drive it without the driveshaft to verify the squeak is gone. I bet its the u- joints. Rebuild it. Thats the best cheapest option to fix it.

do you know if replacing the ball is easy? I'd rather just replace everything while I have it out so I have less of a chance of having to put it in then take it out again cuz it's still making noises

I've never done it myself, my dad just ended up getting a new shaft at the junkyard that had good joints for like 60 bucks. I saw a video of the replacement somewhere once though.
Read this it should give so some good info
