Was out messing around today. Got caught on a log. No biggy. I was being very easy on the gas, just creeping, then.........


Drive shaft breaks in half because of the log that it was on.


Fortunately I had my high lift jack with me and a hand saw. I was completely high centered when the rear shaft broke. Used the high lift jack and front wheel drive to get un stuck.



Nursed it about 2miles with a bungee strap on the broken shaft.









So my question is. Will a 94 grand cherokee rear drive shaft fit a 00 xj?

Not sure splinea should be the same and so should the u joint, if it measures up it should be fine

I am going to give it a try tomorrow.

 

Well the grand Cherokee is 3in too long. Will have to try and find the right one. Called about 5 junk yards and no go.

 

Cut it down

 

check craigslist for a part out.
