drilling knuckles

Default drilling knuckles

how hard is it to drill out the knuckles to 7/8" for the one ton inserts? will a regular corded drill work or am i gona need an air drill? and do you drill from the top or bottom?

I drilled mine from the top and do it at a low speed with plenty of oil or some kind of lubricant. I used a 18v cordless drill so I'm sure a corded drill would work even better.
