I'm thinking about getting a multimedia central to my 2000 grand cherokee.
I just have 2 questions
1) Where can I find the double din radio dash mount? I've searched ebay and couldn't find anything.
2) Is there anyway I can still have my steering-wheel radio control in another device?
Thanks

xj_maniac-newb, you just got yourself nominated. He said it's a 2000 Grand Cherokee, so I'm gonna take a wild guess and say WJ. Originally Posted by xj_maniac_newb

OP, not sure on the double-din, but I can tell you that you'll lose the steering wheel radio functions. Doing a lot of after market audio I've never seen anything that allows them to tie into aftermarket set ups.

it didn't say that when I looked at it..
and you can buy adapters for newer model vehicles for the steering controls, they MAY make them for your jeep, or maybe you can modify a generic one. It's more dependant on if the head unit you get had the option to retain the factory controls

Sorry man, but you're a little busted on this one.Originally Posted by xj_maniac_newb

You didn't post until 12 minutes after he did. If he had edited it after you posted it would show up that he edited it. Quote:
Good to know. It's been a few years since i worked in an audio shop so if they have them now it'd be nice.Originally Posted by xj_maniac_newb

lol I didn't see it when I first read, must have just overlooked it. I'm on my phone so I can't tell if he edited or not lmao, just figured he did. And I dont recommend trying to wire up the steering controls unless you can find a kit. Unless of course you know what you're doing.. not impossible but I'm sure its not easy. Just be prepared for a headache

Pac-audio.com makes a steering wheel interface that will work in your vehicle. You can squeeze a double din into the dash but I don't think anyone offers a kit for it. Time to get custom.
THanks! That sucks...
I was also trying to find the original DVD for my cherokee but man, 570cad for that... NO WAY! I guess I'll have to live with what I have.
Since I've opened this topic has anybody here ever tested out this tweeter? (http://www.jgcparts.com/jeeptweeters.html) Is it worth to buy it.
The infinity really does have a great audio quality but it doesn't last long.
