The plastic door trim is starting to come off my 1998 XJ. Any suggestions on removing it and replacing adhesive strips or something along those lines?
I used goo gone, a hair dryer, and my thumb. It took a while and I got blistered but it looks a hundred times better.
BEFORE:
AFTER:

they should tear off pretty easily, then dab some goo gone along the strip of adhesive...then you can use the hairdryer and your thumb and work along it.
3m also sells a rubber eraser wheel sorta thing that goes on a drill that works really well...but i prefer the free way. because thats a one time use sorta tool
