all in all this is now handled. I have sent the remaining pieces red label delivery to the customer, arriving tomorrow to him, along with a pack of goodies, including a gift certificate code for a future order. Nothing i have done to react to this mistake is going to make this right, however, i hope to be able to move past this and do right by him and all of our customers in our future dealings.
I appreciate all that is said here, positive and negative. All feedback allows me to research issues, and then resolve them.

I don't know if there is such a thing as overkill on our plastic wrap.
We have a sign up in shipping that says metal + paper = torn paper!
We'd rather spend the extra .03 or .04 cents on the plastic wrap and have your parts get to you in our packaging.
