I just got a 2001 cherokee and i found these black bars on the bottom, 2 horizontal and one was like /. they are like these in the pic


I was woundering if anything like those came stock on a 2001 xj or did the previous owner leave me a gift?

The pic you have there is of a heavy duty aftermarket steering upgrade system. The bars you are referring to are your steering linkage and track bar. The track bar keeps the axle centered under the front of the Jeep and the steering linkage, well it's your steering. Yours will look different tahn what is pictured because according to your specs on your 01, it is still stock, but the basic design is the same.

Thanks, i just didnt have a clue. I got my Xj a week ago and its my first car.
