lots of guys here run stock gearing on 33's. should have no issues as long as you stay off the skinny pedal. also when you do regear change out your 35 for an 8.8. atleast regear a decent axle.

Exactly.. You only want to regear once as it is pretty expensive and that means you should do it right the first time.

Yeah.. No issues.. Remember upgrading your gearing doesn't make your axle stronger. What you need to worry about is the axle itself not what it's geared at. The proper gearing for your tire size will only just bring your power levels back to stock. So simply just don't push it hard in the rocks offroad if rocks are apart of your wheeling. The D35 is pretty much OK as long as you don't beat on it up to 33's Open. When you do regear go to a C8.25 29s or F8.8.

The late, great 96_XJ was running 35s on stock gears. I think he had plans to go larger as well. And he wheeled the crap out of his rig, very capably might I add.

Its all in learning how to drive your rig. Keep in mind you have a HUGE regear in just going to 4lo.

im running 33s with stock 3.73s and its fine. only problem for me is it doesnt shift into fourth gear until i hit 45, which sucks.

while were on topic... my next tires are gonna be 35s, so how will those do on stock gears? are those ok to run on my 30, and 8.25?

Yes, many people do. I ran 31's, 33's, and 35's on stock gears (3.55's) over a span of four years...

Yes on the D30. Fine if it's a C8.25 29s. Will be a dog with that gearing on 35's but driveable
