Exclamation DO THIS FIRST, before asking for advice.

I just got back from the Chrysler dealership parts dept.
I was looking for some advice when I remembered a thread where someone had mentioned his girlfriends cherokee and the broadcast or build sheet.
I asked if they could give me one on my 2 jeeps.
No problem he says and takes both VIN numbers and punches them into the computer.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : cheers:
Talk about information. 3 pages each!
I now have everything I ever wanted to know about my jeeps.
What options original colour transmissions axles AND gear ratios.
EVERYTHING!
Now when I ask a question of the experts in here I will be able to give them the CORRECT information instead of Hmmm how do I tell which one that is?

This should be a Sticky!.

Also remember for those of us driving older rigs you can not get the build sheet. I have a 91 and was told they do not have them available on the computer for my year model and not sure what the cutoff year is.

Also this isn't a tech related question so please remember post where it is appropriate. Tech areas are strictly for tech related issues.

Sorry about the tech thing. Kinda thought it was as most of the questions in tech seem to go What do I have?

However the 91 thing is not true.
I have a 91 cherokee Limited and now I have a build sheet that was printed for me this very afternoon from the Chrysler dealer on Dundas st. right here in London Ontario.
"Rant on!" I have found that service people sometimes wish they wern't service people and wouldn't give you the time of day if you handed them a $1000 bucks. They will downright lie to your face to NOT do their job.
I've been in that industry in one form or another my whole working life.
I've had to fire many who didn't want to help the person who was responsible for their Paycheck. THE CUSTOMER.
Sorry but it's a big sore point with me.
I know I'm Canadian and we are supposed to be the most polite people on the planet but that doesn't mean I just just lay down and get screwed by some lazy fat bastard. "Rant off"
Whew feel so much better now. Thanks!

A while back, my dad and I took the bench seat out of his MJ. There was a build sheet stuck inside the cusion.

When I was younger and 60's and 70's muscle cars were affordable we used to find them there all the time. Another good spot is between the gas tank and the body.
