Dilemma
Hi I'm new to the forum. I'm a fan of these forums for help and good advice. Right I've recently purchased a Cherokee 2.7 crd it's an 05 plate with 78k miles auto box.
I Paid £3650 for it from a local dealer. On the way home the abs light and the brake warning light came on. I turned the ignition off fault reset. Later came back on but only when I got above 40mph. The dealer took the Jeep back and checked it over he said the fault was a speed sensor in the rear diff but he'd cleaned it up and refilled with oil and fault returned. He has given me two options ...my money back as he thinks this repair could end up costing several hundred to fix or he will give me £600 and I look into getting it fixed. He said it had at sometime had a wiring modification to stop the wiring rubbing which he said was a comment problem. My dilemma is what to do. The Jeep is very tidy with full Jeep history but I'm worried if I take the £600 it could end up costing a small fortune. Any help gratefully received.
