Was told by some Valvoline kid that my diffs n tcase are leaking, is there any way I can make the check myself? Most people around my area just want you to blow extra cash that you don't need.

 

Are the diffs wet looking with fresh oil? Same question for T-case, do you see wet fluid leaking?

Take some pics and post them up.. That way we can take a look and lead you in the right direction on what to do..

For the most part the differentials at least are easy checks. Clean the areas where you see fluid and see if any new accumulations show up. Ex. My rear differential was wet with gear oil. Cleaned it off good and could see it was only the rubber fill plug that was leaking. Topped it off and re-seated the plug and its all good.

If you do have to remove the covers and reseal it is fairly straight forward.
