I just put a new axle in my xj and it has horrible oil sludge. I tried using brake cleaner which worked fine on my 35 but this crap is thick. Any advice on how to get rid of or dissolve this stuff would be very appreciated.

If you have access to it, an ozzymicrobe cleaner. My dad has one and they're gentle on everything. the microbes actually eat patrolium based stuff like sludge, grease, oil, and crap but doesn't eat paint, plastic, rubber or anything.

Well I have access to an ozzy microbe cleaner but not at my house. And my jeep isint going anywhere. I sprayed some PB blaster in there and it was disolving it pretty well so Im getting a couple more cans of that. Ill try diesel if the PB blaster doesent work. Thanks for everyones suggestions.
