Sorry if this is a dumb question but I've been wondering this as I look at XJ's for sale... I'm looking at '87-'96 models so my questions just pertain to those years...
I see many different trim levels like Laredo, Limited, Sport, Pioneer, Country (maybe there are others)... what's the difference between each one? Is there maybe a website somewhere that explains all this? I never realized there were so many different trim levels until I actually started loooking.
Second thing I was wondering is what was changed over the years as far as the interior & cosmetic stuff. The '95/'96 obviously have a different steering wheel, seats & door panels... I like the look of the older interior much more so I'll probably stay away from the '95/'96 XJ's. Did they ever change anything in the interior between the '87-'94 models or is it pretty much the same throughout those years?
I'm just trying to figure out ways to narrow down my search since there are so many XJ's out there to choose from. I figure I might as well get one with the exact options and what not that I want, since I'm not in a real hurry to buy and can wait until the perfect one comes along. Thanks in advance for any help.

Cool link, thanks for the post! And I love that '91 Limited. That is super clean, I bet it's an awesome daily driver.
I ended up with a Pioneer. It's pretty much a base model except for the auto trans and a/c, but it has the towing package so it has a D44.
I wanted a nice Laredo, but I needed a winter ready vehicle and the price was too good to pass up.
I can live without power locks and windows and such, but I can't believe it doesn't have a rear window defroster. I can grab the rear window from just about any junkyard XJ, but I'm wondering if my Jeep will have the wiring connectors in place to plug it in (and plug in the switch as well). Seems like such a no brainer that every XJ should have rear defrost since that window is constantly fogged up making it impossible to see what's behind me when backing up.
