Why? I can't believe you consider that a parts vehicle...

What do you think an engine and transmission go for from a junk yard?

This is a parts vehicle. Yours needs some body panels bolted on.

I don't know, but I can't go get a quote from the nearest junk yard if you want me to find out. And that's my point you can't believe I think it's a parts vehicle, but if its going to cost to much to fix then there's nothing I can do with it, all I can do is get the most I can selling it. Everyone else seems to think this damage is just the worst thing they've ever seen and its worth $200.

What!?!?! JY charges about 150 for engine complete, 100 for trans and 120 for case that's $370 no where near $800. I'd pay no more than $500 if I were buying it.

If you got someone offering $1000-1200 I'd jump on it.

A body shop is going to give you an outrageous quote I can bet that they say $2500-4000.

You forgot about the tires that are brand new, wheels in great shape, good axels, good brakes, good body panels. Very good interior. You seem to me to be a person that undervalues things by a lot.

That's JY prices by me.

I've seen brand newish stock tires sell for a $100 on CL, new or not they are USED tires.

Body panels? Except for the doors and hatch everything is smashed that can be removed.

You can't add up everything that's salvageable and expect the buyer to pay that price. That's not how it works. Either part it out, get what you think each part is worth, maybe make more or sell it whole and not make as much.

If you have someone wanting to pay $1k for it JUMP ON IT! Because its NOT worth that. Especially since There are tons of running non smashed up XJs on CL for around $1k.

Dude I honestly don't know how you're coming up with these bull**** numbers.. I was wanting in the $2700 range when it was running. Not everything is smashed you moron, the junk yard near me moved the cars out to the yard and let's people take parts off. The values of cars in your area must be complete ****. I don't care for you telling me my jeep is junk, I know that it's not. An you must've forgotten that my engine still runs, someone who knows what they're doing could fix it up, or use the parts.

IDK what your looking for here on CF. I think the general input is to fix it, its quite simple. Then sell it. More money = more beer = more fun. OR you can fix it and reside here at CF. Erbody is chill.
