What do you think an engine and transmission go for from a junk yard?
This is a parts vehicle. Yours needs some body panels bolted on.

If you got someone offering $1000-1200 I'd jump on it.
A body shop is going to give you an outrageous quote I can bet that they say $2500-4000.

I don't know, but I can't go get a quote from the nearest junk yard if you want me to find out. And that's my point you can't believe I think it's a parts vehicle, but if its going to cost to much to fix then there's nothing I can do with it, all I can do is get the most I can selling it. Everyone else seems to think this damage is just the worst thing they've ever seen and its worth $200.

That's JY prices by me.
I've seen brand newish stock tires sell for a $100 on CL, new or not they are USED tires.
Body panels? Except for the doors and hatch everything is smashed that can be removed.
You can't add up everything that's salvageable and expect the buyer to pay that price. That's not how it works. Either part it out, get what you think each part is worth, maybe make more or sell it whole and not make as much.
If you have someone wanting to pay $1k for it JUMP ON IT! Because its NOT worth that. Especially since There are tons of running non smashed up XJs on CL for around $1k.

IDK what your looking for here on CF. I think the general input is to fix it, its quite simple. Then sell it. More money = more beer = more fun. OR you can fix it and reside here at CF. Erbody is chill.
