We don't have the equipment to fight fire's like this, the only reason it stopped is it hit lake superior.

Be smart everyone, have a safe and fun summer!!!!!!

That was a huge fire indeed. Insanity for our general area.

On another note that's with trash that's been mentioned, keep the beer (and cans) out of the riding system, on the last ride I went on I grabbed up a whole effin trash bag of beer empties.

large fires aren't really an issue here, but I've seen the fires out west on the news. I can't even imagine having to leave my house because it might or might not get burnt down. and my father is a volenteer firefighter. I can't image any of the other guys families let alone are family is him or another firefighter lost there life from simple laziness and stupidity. 99% of forerst fires are preventable.

It's funny, it's actually illegal to toss cigs out the window in most states but yet ppl don't care. And most cars today aren't out the factory
With ashtrays like in the old days

This photo was just taken about 30 minutes from the back side of my barn, its just over the ridge from my home.... Right now the wind is blowing it the other direction, but here in California the winds change direction in an instant, and fire create thier own weather amd winds. Funny thing is, there is no damm highway between me and the state highway its burning in! Again more illegal off roaders! Again my son is moved off the mtn for health reasons because someone has thier heads up thier keesters, and are someplace they shouldnt be!

Smokers should be charged for littering every time they toss a butt out. Want to smoke? Fine... but keep that garbage in your car where you see/smell/have to deal with the disgusting habit that you have chosen to make part of your life. I really can't stand going somewhere that I enjoy (i.e. a mountain ski resort) and having someone on the chair lift in front of me blow smoke the entire ride up, only to flick their butt on the beautiful landscape I'm trying to enjoy. Those take a while to degrade people... Keep that disgusting habit to yourself.

I propose maximum littering fines to those who toss their butts.

Sorry... rant over.

I agree, but I am a slight smoker... but never smoke around other people lol or my child or in my cherokee, the smell lingers, or in my home. and never in public. its very disrespectful to people that dont smoke. I think people that have no respect for others and blow it in the fae of others should be smacked lol.

There are 1%'s of everything. Everyone I know who smokes go out of their way to make sure their butts are disposed of properly, as well as not to smoke around kids and non smokers, ya know common courtesy. Unfortunately, their are the few who don't care and that is with everything. However, I see more disrespect from non smokers. Really? You think standing next to someone smoking a cigarette OUTSIDE is going to harm you in anyway? Sit in traffic for 10 minutes. You are inhaling a lot worse than a diluted cigarette. And furthermore, most of the cry baby's are former smokers. Hypocrites. Don't litter, anything, respect your surroundings and the people around you and live.

Sorry for the rant.
