I'm having trouble with my dash going out randomly, anyone else have this issue?

It could be CCD bus. But we won't know for sure, let us know what year you have and the will help narrow it down.

it's a 1999 i6, 2wd

If its a 99 there is a common problem were the plug on the back of the instrument cluster will get a little corrosion and some loose wires causing the cluster to malfunction.
