Default Dana Trac-Lock

Ok so from what I've found the factory limited slipp diff is called Trac-Lock,
So I was googling it and I think I found the LSD carrier.

You think I could order that and just add the clutches?
It would only be the cheapest route under $200 to get a LSD.
Toss in another $379.

Dana 30 locker.
So a rig could be locked front and LSD rear for around $600.
As long as your CAD is working a locker in the front should b no issue at all and if you keep the tires to a reasonable size would reliability be an issue?

personally i think you should do lsd in the front and locked in the rear.
the rear gets more traction when weight is transferred to the rear axle.
anyways the lsd in either axle will do fine, you can also give it a little gas while on the break to help the lsd "lock" or tighten up.

I would go that route but a LSD for the Dana 30 seems hard to come by.
I found one but its for 3.73 and 4.11 gears only.
Mines got 3.07's pretty sure(4.0 5 speed), but not positive since it does have a factory hitch on the rear bumper.
Either way, I got an 88 that should have 3.55's or is it 3.54's, 6cylinder Automatic.

Plan on adding another $100 for bearings and such if not more if you don't know how to set up gears.

No need, I have a press and arbors for removing bearings without damaging them.
I use to setup differentials all the time at Honest Charlies Speed Shop.
So its old hat to me. I just need a shim kit.
Thanks for the concern.

I still wouldn't use used bearings. For what you are paying for the lsd which will wear out you could buy a lunch box locker and be done with it. Then you don't need bearings and such. You can get Aussies and Spartans for around $250.
