Im looking to change out my stock Dana 30 and 35 for a ford or GM 1 ton axles
And I need to find out what all I'll need before I chop everything up

Any help will be appreciated

So just transfer all the brackets
What will I have to do to about the drive shaft will it just bolt on to the axle or do I need to do something to make it fit

Yeah for the brackets just switch them over. As for drive shafts you need to change your u-joints

Chevy's did sometimes come with 4.56, my rear is one, but I've yet to see a ford with anything lower than 4.10s. I would not use the factory sheet metal brackets and your drive shafts will be too long and have the wrong size u-joints. Unless you plan on 37"+ tires don't waste your time with tons. Just swap the rear with an 8.25, 8.8 44 or 9". All can be had with the stock bolt pattern and hold 35s. The front 30 with ABS shafts will be fine with 35s as well.

I'll be running 38's later on and I'm planning on getting new beakers made at the shop
What type of u-joint do I need to get to fit the Dana 60

Not sure what beakers are but u-joints vary depending on what it came out of. Could be anything from a 1350 to 1410 or some of the oddball ones GM used. Your factory ones are 1310 and you can get a bastard joint that has both. Just FYI I had 3" cut out of my rear shaft and that's with a 2" stretch.

Hey now, I have a HF 90 amp for light duty welding and exhaust work!

However it's NOT what is going to be used to put my cage together...
