Dana 44 question
Hey all so if I landed a Dana 44 front axle for my jeep from a ford one of the older ones with lockers can I just cut all the mounts and long arms off my axle now and reeled everything to the new one or will I have to buy new stuff???

Been covered here many, many times.
Here's a link that you should bookmark and refer to often when planning/performing a Ford HP Dana44 swap.

A lot depends on whether you want to run the axle in the stock (full-width) configuration or if you want to narrow it Grand Wagoneer width.
Something that is often overlooked in the planning phase of this project is wheel bolt patterns, give it some thought.

Depends on what it's out of because there are several versions. If it has cast wedges, 78-79 1/2 ton version, you can't cut them off and have to either retube it or use modified ford radius arms. On mine I used Rusty's lower control arm brackets and made my uppers, coil buckets came off another D30 I had and I modified a track bar mount off the same D30.
The truss strengthens the housing and the one they are referring to can have the mounts on it depending on how you order it.
