Default Daily driver lift

M looking for a lift 3-4.5" for my 98 xj. This is my DD and I don't take it off road. I have seen many with all different prices. Just don't think I need all the fancy stuff for pavement driving. We do get a lot of snow but that's about it

Any suggestions

Most of that "fancy stuff" is there to correct the geometry you offset by lifting the jeep.. 3" lift i would get an adjustable track bar, i dont have one but wish i did. 4.5" I would have at least new lower control arms, and an adjustable track bar.. otherwise its gonna be fun to drive your jeep on the road. Most everything they sell in those lift kits are to make your jeep more road worthy as well...

If I were to build a pavement queen I'd throw some 2-3" spacers in the front, a shackle in the back, add some nice shocks and a set of 30" All-Terrain tires. Looks good, rides good, smells good.

I just installed my 4.5" Xseries (rough country).....i won't do it if i were to do it all over again.......UNLESS im able to swap the rear leaf spring (4.5") for a 3" leaf pack + shackle relocation bracket.
