I would assume these guys aren't lifted very high or on bigger tires.
Yes, discos are safe to use on the street. But I would recommend leaving the front sway bar in. I'm up 6.5" on 35's and it's SKETCH with the sway bar disconnected and trying to drive at any speed on the street. Yes, it can be done, but feels like it rolls a couple feet in either direction when during.

yeah im not driving without a sway bar. i drove with out a sway bar before when i had my mustang and it was a chore during turning, especially on off expressways.
as far as the disconnects go i was curious of the rigidity of them mainly because of the ability to swivel when disconnected versus them connected.

I gotta say I've wheeled with 2 guys with discos. its the most annoying thing in the world. "hey wait guys can we pull over for a sec I gotsta reconnect my sway bar." the JKS one didn't even line up right on my buddies rig so it took at least 7min for removal. I think he finally broke his sway bar anyway. good riddance

A Jeep (especially a lifted Jeep) is NOT a sports car and will not handle like one regardless of sway bar/no sway bar. My 91 was my DD and it had no sway bar in the front. Was fine except for making sharp curves at speed. Slow down and it was fine. The taller your ride, the slower you go on curves. My current 97 is my DD and it has sway bars front and rear. I have just not gotten around to removing them.

I have just a 3.5" lift with pro comp links made disco and although i know how it feels to be fully disconnected (it doesn't change the feeling much) i still feel safer knowing that if i ever do need to make a fast decision turn i won't be in more danger because mine aren't connected. I live in a rural area with deer and feel safer with discos than non at all.

i ride with disco's and its the same as regular sway bar links. lately, i have had mine out and its definitely more sketchy but not bad. like mentioned before, it depends on the rest of the suspension. I don't no if long arms make a difference but i feel more body roll than i did with my old xj on short arms.
