Default Custom tail lights

Has anybody made custom tail light housings to accept 4in round trucker style lights or any other light of the same nature? Im wanting to put some 4in clear LEDs that light up red and maybe some flush mount oval reverse lights in my bumper

Back when I was in high school, in my welding class we had a comp. plasma, and I made a set of tail lights built into quarter guards.

They ended up turning out super clean for me just kinda throwing the idea together. THey were for a 99 so the body was much more round and the hatch had alot more curves in i. But all in all turned out great and the guy loved them

Is it street legal to modify tail lights? What lights do you need? Turn signal, reverse, tail light, and brake light to be legal?

It all depends on what your State laws are. But generally I think that about covers it.

X2 only thing I could see complaints about is not having reflectors built into the light. I run LEDS with no reflectors and have not had any issues yet with the law.

Yea I've actually seen those on the road.

What a waste of money I'd rather tint my stock lights.

okay now what kind of metal would you use, stuff that would be sturdy and wouldnt bend easy if you backed in to a ditch and hit.

11G flat steel is easy to work with and if plenty enough. I use it and it's pretty tough as long as you make your object strong.
