Default Cup Holders

Quadratec has finally started to sell a replacement cup holder for our xj's. It wasn't the most common option from the factory but i think with minor modification it could be retrofitted to any 84-96 console. I got one to replace my broken factory one. They're a mopar piece so quality is high.

Are these, or something similar, good? I've been thinking of cutting two holes and adding the cup holders there.

My buddy gave me one of those he had laying around. I didn't like where it mounted. Hard to reach, not very sturdy, and got in the way of the passenger, so I did this. I have an auto and never use a parking brake, not to mention it didn't have the cables anyway. So I removed the lever, did a little trimming on the cupholders and tucked them in here. Very sturdy, perfect position for you and the passenger and doesn't look too out of place.

Good thing you don't live in VA, you would never get an inspection sticker

Yea . Im not sure why the 88 & pre96 models didnt come already stock with them. Some may came stock I kno mine didnt but my local jeep 4x4 store had the original factory cupholders bolts right in wherecthe two screws r wen u open the console up . Fits perfect . Glad I found em. I was about to go to the junkyard abd pull a whole center console piece out of a 97 xj and install it in my 88 woilda looled un original and diff but hey id had cupholders lol luckily I found these lol much easier to do
