I like easy. Easy to clean. Those will trap dirt under them, as well as moisture, potentially causing rust.
Also, rock sliders are made. Those won't hold up to many, if any hits like a good set of rock sliders will.
However, if your driving a rig that'll never make it off road, then they'd probably be fine.

will these cover up rusted up rocker panels? i have a 98 jeep cherokee with rocker panels that are rusted! i DONT go off roading or anything so im just looking for a easy cover up! nor do i care about reselling the car. i just want it to look a little better

The rust won't stop. It will continue to grow, so even if this does cover the rust, eventually it'll grow past what these can cover.
Your best bet is to grind or cut off the rust, paint over the bare spots.
