Jovie got a deer-facial last week and the tech school she's getting repaired at probably won't have her ready until after New Years, so plans to go half on a trail Jeep with a buddy have been moved up. We're looking at this one this week. It's not much for details, but any thoughts/suggestions? I wish I had you guys when I bought my first one!

I sure wish I had the title, I would have it sold millions of time over. I always have my eye out for xj's. If you ever need any parts, or help with anything I always have the heat on in the shop and your welcome come by. I learn by reading, then tinkering.

 

You're not joking. They're impossible to come around without driving to STL and beyond. And I just might have to take you up on that offer this winter, after wrenching around to get it on the trailer I've had about all the cold I wanted to experience this year.

That was an ordeal. It had a dead battery and it won't idle until it charges, which wasn't going to happen since it didn't have coolant.

 

I often put the truck/trailer on hill and let gravity do it job.
Blocking tires, etc. I may have to get some more fuel and try giving it a drive.
I drove it a little. I will also look for the noise.

The more I read on the fabrication part of this site, the more I would love to turn it into a LCOG machine. Sometimes the forums get a little addicting.

 

Is your hood good? I have an extra 94 black hood. It's all sun faded but could be repainted.

 

Hood's definitely trashed, I'll have to see if a 94 hood fits the same. They look the sale but they're always listed different on parts sites. Miller has nothing left on the XJs they have.

 

Yeah Miller Scrapped many of the Jeeps. A year ago I picked up some little things. I really had to search.
