I've been thinking of doin' a couch out of an old XJ rear seat also. What were u plannin' on making the bottom out of? Steel or wood? Post plcs when you get into it. Coffee table out if a 4.0 sounds good also. My room is in the basement & luggin a 4.0 into my basement won't be easy. If anyone does that I gotta see pict's.

I've always liked automotive furniture. I gotta say the xj rear seats wouldn't be my first choice. Van buckets seats and old suburban bench seats, I'd use those. Xj rear seats don't have enough *** room.
dude, the 4.0 block table is an awesome idea! I might have an extra engine soon too!!! though I might try to get one that doesn't run for this though. so i can sell the working one. as far as room goes....yeah you're right, but I have extra rear seats.

My first idea was to use steel tubing that I used for my roof rack, but that would be a little costly so I think I'm just going to use wood, though eventually I might use steel for a cleaner look.
