Sounds like you need to do some basic research on axles, body work, and fabrication before you start hacking your rig up.

Moving to Chat since there isnt any tech here.

yikes.

seems like selling the cherokee and buying a flatbed dually would be the logical option here..

Yeah u definitely need a new rear end. Specifically a dually rear end. And probably a whole heavier trans. That plus u need to plate your "frame". And leaf spring brackets. And a lot of unibody reinforcement

Honestly it's cheaper and less work to buy a dually flatbed

It might be slightly easier to do it to a MJ Comanche not a Cherokee

lol seriously.

do you know what constitutes a one ton truck? you can slap whatever the hell rear and transmission you want into a cherokee and it still wont be a one ton truck.

i have 3/4 ton axles, huge brakes, and plating... but it sure aint a 3/4 ton truck.

you can make one though... get a long bed MJ and stuff it with a 6.0, 4L80E, one ton axles and a **** ton of plating. get ready to spend 2-3 times more than an actual 6.0 chevy would cost you used.
