Does a cold intake help with hp? Is it worth spending the money on it? Im lookin for a lil more power for my 89 cherokee any advice? Thanks

 

The factory air box works well if you do a few mods to it.

Where the hose meets the airbox, it has a "silencer" that basically just chokes it down. If you remove that, it will pull some more air.

Throw a nice K&N filter in the box. Also, I just took and drilled a few holes in the airbox on mine, Ya, I know it's pulling warm air from the engine bay in, but it still gets fresh aire from behind the headlight, and you can actually here mine sucking in ALOT of air.

Didn't cost me anything but a new filter.

 

get a snorkel (build your own who wants to pay 300 for one) and you'll feel the difference, at least i can in my brothers.
